Denise Shanklin founded ThinkDeFi to build an enduring independent research and convening institution. After more than three decades leading complex enterprise technology initiatives across financial services, healthcare, life sciences, technology, and government, she came to a defining realization: while technology transforms systems, people determine whether transformation succeeds.

As Founder & Executive Director, she stewards ThinkDeFi’s institutional vision and long-term purpose—protecting independence and intellectual integrity while guiding the institution’s development across research, executive dialogue, and strategic collaboration.
